Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission follows government procurement policy as set out in Government Rules of Sourcing: Rules for planning your procurement, approaching the market and contracting. The Rules represent the government’s standards of good practice for procurement planning, approaching the market and contracting and are available at www.business.govt.nz 

Interested suppliers should note that:

  • All Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission tenders expected to be over the value of $100,000 are posted on the Government Electronic Tenders Service* website (GETS) at www.gets.govt.nz
  • Post-award information for contracts over the value of $100,000 is also posted on www.gets.govt.nz

*Government Electronic Tenders Service (GETS) is a free service managed on behalf of the New Zealand Government by the Ministry of Economic Development.  GETS is designed to promote open and fair competition and meet international trade agreement commitments to publish information about opportunities to do business with government agencies.  Public Service departments, New Zealand Defence Force and New Zealand Police are mandated to use GETS for the publication of all tender opportunities and contract awards above minimum thresholds.  All other public sector agencies, including local authorities, are also encouraged to publish this information on GETS.
