Te Pae Turuki, the Public Service Leaders Group, comprises senior public servants in the most complex and influential leadership roles. The PSLG has a special job - collectively leading Aotearoa New Zealand’s Public Service.

Being in the PSLG

Te Pae Turuki | The Public Service Leaders Group is about working together, providing strong collaborative leadership and enabling continued innovation to tackle some of the biggest and most complex issues facing us today, to produce the best outcomes for New Zealanders.

Members of the PSLG are nominated by chief executives according to role-based criteria set by Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission. Members meet one or more of the following:

  • Member of an executive team
  • Runs a Public Service business for NZ or a significant region
  • Heads a corporate function in a medium or large agency
  • Creates high strategic impact, working across larger agencies and in concert with other agencies

What is Talent Exchange? 

  • Online tool for senior talent management/leadership development
  • Increases the chance of being matched to potential leadership development or deployment opportunities
  • Provides exclusive notifications of senior leader roles and opportunities available across the Public Service
  • Platform to promote your own leadership profile across the Public Service

Career Boards
