Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) ensures New Zealanders have access to usable and accurate geographic information. It also gives New Zealanders confidence in their property rights, ensures that Crown property is well managed for future generations, and makes sure that international investments in our assets benefit New Zealand.
We are looking for a highly experienced senior leader to be the next Chief Executive, LINZ. This person must be able to lead strategically and steer LINZ through transformational change to be a modern, agile, and customer facing agency.
The Chief Executive will influence the system in which LINZ operates, expanding its reach across issues that affect the country, such as land use, water, resilience, climate change and urban development. The Chief Executive will work closely with other Chief Executives and be a collaborator who works across agencies to manage and steward New Zealand’s natural and built resources.
Excellent leadership by Public Service chief executives is essential to high performing departments and a high performing Public Service. Chief executives are required to work collaboratively in a spirit of service and strive towards the overall goal of a system of world class, professional State Services, serving the Government of the day and meeting the needs of all New Zealanders.
