Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP)

The Carbon Neutral Government Programme (CNGP) has been set up to accelerate the reduction of emissions within the public sector. The programme's aim is to make a number of organisations within the public sector carbon neutral from 2025. It was launched in December 2020

Legal requirements: No legal requirements Entity-specific requirements may be contained in a Crown entity’s establishment legislation Ministerial expectations: Minister for the Public Service and Minister of Finance have issued a Direction under section 107 of the Crown Entities Act - All Crown Agents (as referenced in the Crown Entities Act 2004, Schedule 1 Part 1) must give effect to all of clause 5 – Requirements. |
