New Zealand’s National Action Plans under the Open Government Partnership
The Open Government Partnership (OGP) is a multilateral initiative that promotes the principles of open government: transparency, accountability and public participation. Membership of OGP is one of many tools supporting open government in New Zealand.

In December 2025, the Minister for the Public Service approved New Zealand's fifth National Action Plan (NAP5) under the Open Government Partnership. You can read NAP5, and find information about our development process, below.
The Minister's theme for this action plan is 'Strengthening integrity in the Public Service'.
